Manage Your Field

“What isn’t measured can’t be improved”

Given the exponential growth of
technology, businesses are going through a period of major growth as well as major challenges. As the ways of working multiply, so do the risks of losing sight of something. To mitigate this, it’s essential to have control or management of the entire field operation.

What is operations management?
Operations Management (OM) allows us to plan, organise and oversee the delivery and monitoring of the products and/or services we offer. With proper operations management, the quality of services and/or products is assured, adding value both for clients and for the operation itself.

The operation is understood to span everyone from field workers right up to company directors, since all of them are part of it. It’s therefore important that improvement is a joint effort, not the responsibility of a single area. Everyone matters.

If I already have a team responsible for OM, how can I improve?
There are countless ways to improve operations. Generally, companies look for support from software or a tool that allows them to monitor it. This provides indicators for successfully completed jobs, incomplete jobs, inventories, staff by site, and so on — and has also helped simplify both operational and administrative processes.

In most cases, this monitoring software comes with an “indicator board”, better known as an “operations dashboard”, where operational results can be shown in detail.

At Actin, we’re committed to improving how our clients manage their operations. By analysing the operation, we can build indicators for the counts that matter most for improvement, along with specific and/or general reports that support decision-making.
